Welcome to IntEnant

IntEnant is one of the first research projects funded within the seventh research framework programme of the European Commission. The project started June 1, 2008.

A consortium of 13 workgroups at 11 locations is performing scientific research on enantiomeric substances. The shortcut IntEnant means "Integrated Synthesis and Purification of Enantiomers" describing the targets of this project:

The scientists in this project aim to simplify the synthesis and purification of enantiomeric substances, which are needed e.g. in pharmaceutical and food industry.

The pictures on this page show crystals of substances. Crystallisation in general is used as tool in chemistry to purify substances. For IntEnant and it's scientific results crystallisation is one step to achieve the selected goals.
