Bayer Technology Services GmbHTechnology provider for chemical and pharmaceutical industryExpertiseGroups involved from BTS will be Product Design and Nanotechnology, Reaction Engineering & Catalysis, Chromatography, Extraction and Membrane technology. These groups have long-standing experience in developing and trouble shooting crystallization and chromatography processes as well as in developing catalysts and in reactor engineering. We are intensively carrying out contract research and trouble shooting work for the pharmaceutical and agrochemical business groups of Bayer. Ehrfeld Mikrotechnik, also belonging to BTS, provides micro structured reactors for small scale continuous synthesis.FacilitiesMicro structured reactors for lab scale and production scale synthesis, Crystallization equipment for ml scale to 30 l scale include particle characterization SMB lab unit, Chromatography columns from 4 mm to 200 mm diameter Parallelized (16 x) 2 ml crystallizer DSC, HPLC, UV, inline-Polarimeter, REM, TEM, and various other analytical techniquesOther European projects the organisation has been involved in: We are currently involved in several FP6 projects. In the NMP priority, projects like AIMs, PROFORM or INSERT may serve as examples. Role in the projectParticipation in WP 1, WP2, WP6, WP7 BTS will apply techniques developed by university partners to products of industrial relevance. Main focus is the constraints to time and amount of available substance especially in pharmaceutical process design. Key personnel involved in INTENANT Dr. S. Buchholz; Dr. M. Weiß; Dr. W.
